Piper Saratoga Pilot for Microsoft FS X

Piper Saratoga Pilot for the Carenado Piper Saratoga adds six adventure flights for the business pilot. A series of six missions begins in Prince George, BC, Canada and continues to the coast at Prince Rupert. You fly on contract with Coulson Aviation ferrying foresty executives.

The design began life as the Piper Lance, a retractable gear version of the Piper Cherokee Six. Later models are known as Saratogas. The primary difference between the Lance and early Saratoga is the development of a tapered wing on the Saratoga replacing the "hershey bar" wing on the Lance that was a carryover from the Cherokee Six. Later Saratoga models provided updated/improved avionics, engine and interior touches but retained the same airframe design. In 1978 a turbocharged version was introduced. The aircraft flown in these missions is the older variety.

Now Combat Planes Canada Adventures brings your FSX aircraft to life. Your virtual first officer handles the communications as you receive your departure clearance in the winter in central British Columbia at Prince George, BC. You carry executives for CANFOR and West Coast Forest Products to their destinations in style.

Saratoga

The forestry industry in British Columbia is a billion dollar industry. But times are tough. Competition from the American Pacific Northwest as well as a worldwide crunch means that challenges occur at every level: funding and goverment relationships; aging equipment and sustainability in the face of ecological needs; issues of jobs and Union requirements.

In these missions you ferry foresty executives to meetings with Union officials at key foresty centers in British Columbia. Beginning at Prince George you fly to Vanderhoof and Fraser Lake, then to Smithers, and on to Terrace and Prince Rupert on the coast. Next you make your way to Kitimat. Final missions have you flying an air ambulance mission in poor weather and then a passenger flight from Kelowna to Salmon Arm and on to Vancouver.

Flight demands vary with weather conditions. In two missions you must deal with equipment failure. In one mission your engine might fail completely. IFR is optional but helpful.

These missions are designed for SP2 as well as Acceleration.

System Requirements

Any computer flying FSX with the Carenado Piper Saratoga may fly this mission set. You must have Microsoft FS X with either SP2 or Acceleration installed.
